"Hey Ichigo, so you still Rukia's server-monkey?" Renji snickered as he walked up to Ichigo and put his hand on his shoulder, "No, that bet ended a few days ago, now she's my GIRLFREIND," he replied with a smirk, "Right so you're STILL her sever-monkey then," he replied back, "No, actually she just lost a bet to ME yesterday," "Really now? So she's gonna be YOUR servant for a week huh? "I'll give one thing to the Soul Society, atleast they can cook," Ichigo muttered as he popped some sort of small pastry into his mouth, Rukia rolled her eyes but smirked at him, "Actually Ichigo... speaking of Soul Society..... I was just speaking to Captain Ukitake-" "Don't tell me he's making you leave Karakura," he said quetly, "No no, there's nothing like that," she replied with a smile, "Then what?" "Well as you know the three captain positions that are vacent still haven't been filled, the remaining captains have been going threw tons of applications but no one has the qualifications needed to not only run the squads, but also to pull them up from the ground, the betrayl of their former captains has done alot of damege to the squad members in the way they act, fight, and listen to their superiors, in most cases of a new captain taking over a squad, weather because the former died or retired or was promoted, it's just like the new captain is stepping in where the old one left off, however, with these three squads is anarchy, the ones who take over will basically be starting from scratch," "Uh-huh, and how does this affect us?" he replied, growing bored with her political talking, "Well .... it's an extremly difficult thing to do and it doesn't just involve physical strength and having a Bankai, it requires a good sense of justice, a kind heart, and paitence," "And...?" "I've been offered one of the positions," he felt his heart skip a beat, "What?" "Go on, you've faced scarier than this, you can do it," Ichigo urged, pushing Rukia along so that they were standing just a few feet away from Byakuya, "A-Aren't you coming?" "...Nah, I'm going to watch from a safe distance thanks," he replied as she slowly started to walk towards her brother, "H-Hello Brother," she said, he nodded once to her, "Ukitake told me about the positions he is offering to you and that .... boy...." "Yes and we're gladly accepting them, but uh, there's sort of something I need to tell you first..." "Well?" "..... I ..... I.... Ichigo and I are a couple now and are happily in love," she blurted out, not receiving the reaction she expected, "I see, well that was only a matter of time I suppose," he replied, "B-Brother?" "So I can ensure that that boy never violates you," he replied, turning to Ichigo with a death glare, Rukia, red-faced, started to stutter, "B-B-B-Brother no!!! Ichigo sighed lightly, glad that the Byakuya thing went well, "RUN ICHIGO!!!" "Why do I feel like I'm about to loose an apendege...?" he muttered to himself as he started to run
