Tail Pulling

Rukia bit her tounge lightly and pressed the "send" button on her laptop

"Excellent..." she muttered, turning to look at her daughter

"See that Sanshain? That made all the pictures from here, go to Mommy's job and come out on papper," she said

The little girl giggled and clapped happily

Rukia smirked, scruffing up the babys' hair and shutting down her laptop, she bent over to put it on the table beside her and suddenly felt a sharp yank on her tail

Her ears shot up and she turned around to peer at Sanshain as she relentlessly tugged on her mother's tail

"No no, don't pull people's tails Sanshain, that hurts," she said, her tailbone throbbing as she picked up her child to keep her out of reach of her bushy ball of fuzz

"Ichigo I need to go down to my studio and get the pictures I printed, watch Sanshain until I get back ok?"

"Mm!" he replied with a nod, taking his daughter into his own arms and watching Rukia as she blew him a kiss and left the house

He decided that making dinner could wait until Rukia got back

He never liked having Sanshain in the kitchen without constant supervision, too many things could happen....

...Especially since she started crawling a week ago.....

He wondered if the lion in her liked napping in sunny spots like he did....

So

Curious

He went into the large hallway right under the window above the door and laid down on his stomach, setting a playmat out for Sanshain to do the same

But....

She didn't....

Instead she climbed onto his back and pulled at his hair

He didn't mind though

He was used to hair pulling by now

(After all the first few months he was with Rukia he had to quickly learn to get used to it)

The soft tugs from his baby didn't bother him and hadn't bothered him once she started that phase a month ago....

Atleast....

For a wile it didn't.....

Gradually the giggling and tugging went from his orange hair to his fuzzy, black ears

She started out just tugging on them

But the more Ichigo's ears twitched in distress the harder she pulled and yanked

Just as Rukia walked into the house she pulled on his ears even harder than before, causing him to yelp in pain

"I've got her," Rukia said, setting her photos on the staircase and reaching down to pick up Sanshain

'N-No.... she's alright....' Ichigo replied

Rukia crossed her arms over her chest

"Are you SURE?"

Before he could reply Sanshain turned around and saw Ichigo's wavy black tail swirving back and forth

In amusement, she grabbed the swaying apendege and pulled as hard as she could, expecting it to come loose

"YEEEEOOOOOOWWOWOO!!!!" Ichigo hollered, springing up from the floor and causing Sanshain to be tossed in the air

He caught her with ease though and quickly put her back in Rukia's arms

'Wow.... if her pulling MY tail hurt me that much that it's still sore... I can't imagine having a long tail like Ichigo....' Rukia thought ruefully as her husband sniveled in the corner

Renji stretched and curled into a ball on the arm of the couch

He yawned loudly and snuggled deeper into the warmth above him

He had spent the last two minutes chasing this sunbeam and now he had it....

He closed his eyes....

Started to nod off....

Yank

"OOOWOOWWWOOO!!!!! Great One in the desert what was that?!"

Hearing the shout, Grimmjow peeked around the corner and grinned

"Ah there you are! Sanshain you can't just go crawling off," Grimmjow said as he picked her up

He looked at Renji for a moment, who was hissing and rattling his tail

"What's your problum?"

"Ssssssssssssssshe pulled my tail!!!!!" he hissed back

"Oh come on, it's your fault for making it rattle anyway," he replied over the giggles of the baby

"Bull! SSsssssssssshe'sssssss been doing that to everyone!!!" he replied

"Oh come off it Split-Breed, she's just a little baby, not like she- YOUWWWOOOUCH!!! Dear CEILING CAT this kid as an iron grip!" Grimmjow screamed as Sanshain grabbed his tail too

"You HAVE to teach your kid not to grab people's tails Rukia," Yoruichi grumbeled as her sore apendege sway back and forth

"I've been TRYING! She's learned to stop pulling my tail and Ichigo's tail but anyone else's are up for grabs... I don't get it..."

"Well how'd you get her to leave you two alone?"

"I told her specifically to STOP pulling Mommy and Daddy's tails, but I told her to stop pulling everyone else's too but she still does that,"

"Maybe until she grows out of this phase you have to tell her SPECIFICALLY 'don't pull Grimmjow's tail', 'don't pull Yoruichi's tail', 'don't pull Renji's tail', and so on,"

"I hope not.... come to think of it.... why hasn't she grabbed Brother's tail yet?"

Sanshain tugged and tugged on the bright pink fuzzy thing as hard as she could but she got no reaction at all

Byakuya, meanwile, sat at his desk reading calmly....

....With a peice of pink fabric tied to his waist mimicking a tail....

"What? You're REALLY surprised that I am the only one who thought of this?"
