How To Save A Life
"Ichigo I need your help," Ichigo turned around in hiss swirvy chair and looked over at Rukia as she leapt off of his bed from the window and onto the floor, "I realize that my asking for this is probbably out of line... and it may put you at risk... but you have such a kind heart and I don't know who to turn to.. I just... please find it in your heart to help me!" she said as she bowed to him, he smiled gently at her, stood up and set his hand on her shoulder, "Rukia, you should know better than this, we're nakama; what kind of trouble have you gotten yourself into that you think I wouldn't help you?" he asked, she stood up, looking away from him and hesitantly sitting down on his bed, "That's the thing, it isn't really.. me... who's in trouble... that's why it's inappropriate of me to ask you for help... but I just don't know who else to turn to!" she cried, "Don't worry, I'll help, just tell me what the problum is," she took in a deep breath and closed her eyes breifly before opening them again, "There's this guy on death row... accused of stealing from the Kasumi O'ji clan...." "And he didn't do it?" "Oh he did it, he admitted it," Ichigo blinked, "I don't see your point," "He doesn't deserve to DIE though! A person from that clan caused his buisness to go sour, he has a wife and children to take care of, he may have been wrong to steal but he doesn't deserve to die for it!" she said, "How can I help?" "Soul Society sometimes will take your opinion into consideration, if you could stand before the captains... maybe they'd be more lenient?" he nodded slowly, "Alright, I can do that," she smiled, "Thank you," "Ofcourse," and with that the two left his house and entered Soul Society through the gate
"Alright now let's hurry and get this over-" "Miss Kuchiki!" Rukia sighed, they were barely two feet in Soul Society but already someone had come looking for her, "Miss Kuchiki the clans are meeting now you really must join us," the young woman said as she walked up to Rukia, "But I-" "Miss Kuchiki this is an IMPORTANT matter," she sighed and looked up at Ichigo with a frown, "You think you can get a captain's meeting going without me?" "Sure," he chuckled, waving once to her and dashing off as she was torn away and lead back to the house
"Ofcourse, I'll gladly set up a captain's meeting for you to make your point, I don't think he should be exicuted either," Ukitake said as he took a sip of tea, "Ah thanks Mr. Ukitake, atleast I have a few people here I can always count on," he said with a smile, "Well if it'll keep you on our side," he chuckled, "Tch, you people sure do seem to like exicuting people around here though... what's with that anyway?" "It didn't used to be like this, a vast majority of the exicutions you've heard about have been issued under unusual circumstances such as Rukia's, we know that Aizen was responsable for that, the same can be said for the many times you were hunted after, in fact if it were up to the captains taking a vote there would be many more lenient sentences, Rukia's incedent for example shouldn't have resulted in even an arrest to be honest, the ability to give over your powers is made for cases like Rukia's where you have no choice, she should have had her powers returned and time to heal wile you should have come under examination of weather to be stripped or issued a substitute, that's how subsitutes are created," "Right, so what's the excuse with this guy?" "There isn't one, with cases like theft.... well... given the state of things in that area of Rukon there really isn't a very strict ruling on theft, but usually it's the victums who play an important role in sentencing, since the Kasumi-Oji clan were the victums of this crime, no matter how small and how needed the theft was, they, also being a highly noble clan, have nearly the complete power to control the sentencing and they INISISTED on death," "Tch... I bet Lurichiyo doesn't even know about this..." he grumbeled, "Well Ichigo that's sadly very probbable, and to tell you the truth overturning a conviction or a sentence are both very difficult to do, nearly impossible," "My middle name is impossable," he huffed back, "That's true," Ukitake chuckled, "You know... you guys really should consider giving the nobles less power and taking more power on yourselves, I think it could do Soul Society alot of good to vote on things before making a law or a conviction or something," "That's true, the nobles have already been stripped of alot of power, in fact the Spirit King has been working on gradually changing the Seireitei from a monarchy to a democracy, that's why the Central 46 was implemented, but after they were slaughtered the king decided to leave many of the decision making up to captains, by vote, however as we are lacking three captains now the old system is still in play until we get three more and this new system begins," "Does the Spirit King even hear about things that go on in Soul Society?" "Well, sometimes, important matters such as exicutions, promotions and demotions to high levels such as captain, and issues in noble clans are reported to a member of the Royal Guard, who decides to tell the Spirit King or not," Ichigo nodded slowly, "I guess this didn't get through," "Neither did Rukia's conviction," he replied with a sigh, "Oh well, I'll get right to that meeting," "Thank you," Ichigo replied with a small smile and a sigh, he was fully prepared to overhaul this entire place, he had brought it to a tolerable level and now that more people were on his side, speeding along that little change in the systum wouldn't be NEARLY as hard...
"We're so delighted that you get to come to this tea party with us Ms. Rukia," Lurichiyo said as she poured some tea into Rukia's cup, "Thank you Ms. Lurichiyo, I'm delighted as well," she said with a smile, taking a sip of tea, apparently that all important "meeting" she had to go to was in all actuality a tea party with Lurichiya.... how lovely.... but then... an idea struck her, "...Ms. Lurichiyo?" "Hm?" "How would you feel about letting Ichigo teach you a new game?" "Ichigo is here?!" "Yes yes.... and he'd like to see you but he's a little tied up at the moment with a dreadfully boring meeting," "When will he be done?" "Well actually... he'll be done sooner if you could help us with a little something~"
"Oh COME ON, you HAVE to atleast re-tri this guy! A death sentence for stealing a few thousand kan is just rediculous!" Ichigo said with a huff, "We're sorry but it was ultimately the Kasumi-Oji clan's decision," Unohanna said, "Wich is MORONIC," Ichigo huffed back, "The rules ARE the rules though, no matter how stupid," Soi Fon replied, "Well what if it was someone other than the head of the clan who did this?" "What are you insinuating exactly?" Mayuri asked with a frown, "That we knew nothing about this! Wich we didn't!" Lurichiyo replied as she and Rukia walked into the room, "Rukia!" Ichigo said with releif, Rukia smiled at him and Lurichiyo went on to demand that the convict be let off with only a few years in prison, "She plans to give his wife and child some money too," Rukia said happily as she and Ichigo watched the small girl walk around conducting the entirety of the Soul Society's captains like an army general, "How did you find her? Or tell her?" "Well that 'urgent matter' I had to attend to happened to be a tea party with her, I explained the situation to her and she was exstatic to help... especially since I promised you'd play a game with her~!" ".....What game?"
"PAY. UP!" Lurichiyo screeched, Ichigo sighed and handed her some Monopoly money, "Dang it Rukia why this game?!"

Never letting go.
Ichigo had just walked into his house from school. "Rukia? Rukia?" He called. He hadn't seen her all day. She didn't have breakfast downstairs with him earlier this morning. She wasn't at school. He didn't have a clue where she could have been. But he was adamant to tell her today. To confess to her. He had to let her know, whether she accepted it or not. She had to know he was in love with her. But as he walked up the stairs to his bedroom, he saw something that made his heart stop. There, on the landing, was a trail of blood, leading to her room. It didn't stop at the door though. He walked slowly over to his bedroom door. His hand inched n

Notes from a Nuisance
"That's got to be the most romantic thing I've ever read!"
"You really think so?" I asked curiously, scratching the top of my head.
"Definitely! Do you know who wrote it?"
"Well
no, I have no idea who wrote it. I found it in my desk when I got here this morning."
"Oh! No fair! I hope you find out soon, Rukia."
"Yeah, thanks, I guess." I said cautiously.
"Just wait until Ichigo finds out you've got a secret admirer. I bet you anything he gets jealous." Tatsuki said suddenly from behind her book.
"Why do you say that?" Orihime asked.
"Please, it couldn't be more obvious that Rukia is incredibly important to him. Knowing

Dear Diary - IchiRuki-
Dear Diary,
I know I haven't been writing in a while. There simply wasn't anything special to share. But this week I'm getting married and it's definitely something worth writing.
There are so many feelings fighting inside of me, that sometimes I wonder if it's even possible for one person to feel it all.
But what can I do.
The wedding is exactly seven days from today. I wondered why I was procrastinating with writing about it, but now I realize that some part of me still hoped that there is something I could do.
But there isn't.
And it's not that I hate the idea of marrying Renji.
We've known each other for so long and I know he's a g
