Derek The Dog Guy
(AU)
"Yo Scotty!"
The vet tech looked up momentairily from his work and grinned
"Donuts!" he cried happily
"Um no, actually, my name is Stiles," the other male replied
Scott rolled his eyes
"Good to see you man, I thought your lunch break ended already though?"
"Eh well it is technically, but the hospital is as slow as it is here for today so I went on and took a little longer," Stiles shrugged as he set the box of donuts down on Scott's desk
Scott blinked slowly
"You know one of these days they're going to fire you for crap like this,"
"Nah! That's what interns are for! Remember how they put me through all this stuff when I was the new nurse on the block?"
"You still ARE new..."
"Well not AS new as they are..."
Scott shook his head slowly
"I wish you'd drop out of people medicine already and just come be a vet tech like me," he pouted
"Yeah I know but you know why I can't..."
"Yeah because you're a little weirdo who barely flinches when people get butchered but Heaven forbid a puppy should get a splinter, you'll start bawling!" he snorted
"Ah I see the teasing has started early today,"
Turning at the sound of the new voice, they noticed the slightly larger man behind them carefully cradling a little black puppy
"Oh hi Derek, actually I was talking to Stiles here.. he's the only other person I know with that mindset," he mused, gesturing to the nurse at his side
"Howdy," Stiles greeted
Derek gave a small, polite nod before his attention jerked back to Scott at the sound of a heavy sigh
"Derek.... why haven't I seen that dog before?" Scott asked with a frown
"Well I've only had her for a week..."
Scott groaned
"Derek, you're going to turn into that old cat lady on the hill if you keep this up you know,"
"I am NOT going to turn into Mrs. Wesbrook, four dogs is hardly the same as twenty-two cats," he frowned
There was a pause
"I was actually just using that as a general analogy but yeah, maybe get the ASPCA on that..."
"Look I didn't plan on this ok? I was just getting some supplies for the others and I ... happened to go on adoption day... I couldn't help myself ok? Out of eight or something puppies that were in the same pin with her they were all getting adopted except her... and I sort of waited around a little to see if someone would come and get her... but no one ever did and I couldn't just LEAVE her there," he explained quickly
"FINALLY someone gets it!" Stiles chirped happily
"I mean I ended up with Cerise the exact same way! I made the mistake of going on adoption day when I went to pick up some stuff for Logan and I just couldn't turn away," he said sheepishly
"Dogs really are amazing huh?" Derek smiled softly
"Yeah! I mean I'm a nurse at the hospital instead of a vet because, as much as I'd LOVE to help animals, I just can't stand seeing one hurt, I could never handle the heartache, atleast with people you can explain to them what's going on, you have some way of communicating that everything is going to be ok-"
"But you can't have that with animals, all they know is that they're scared and hurt," Derek sympathized
"EXACTLY! And those puppy eyes? Uncalled for,"
"Then what's your excuse for other animals? You can't exactly say ducks look at you with puppy eyes," Scott commented
"Ha... ha... shut up Scott," Stiles said awkwardly
"Well I understand and agree completely, animals are so... so different from us and that can make them difficult to handle at times, especially when it comes to raising them, and adding in the strain of all these other people who think that they automatically know something just because of an outstanding circumstance wanting to judge you and weigh in with their opinions, trying to detour you from your instincts..."
"Oh yeah, I definately have some horror stories, but that's another thing for another time... if it makes any difference, it looks like she's adjusting well to you," Stiles commented
"Oh? Thank you, you start getting kind of used to things after a long enough time, I mean my oldest, Lupin, has been with me for six years, then Pugsly came around about three or four years ago... Rosealie is just over a year old now and Lucy here is new,"
"They sound great," Stiles grinned happily
"Thanks, do you want to see pictures?" Derek asked happily as he yanked out his wallet and started fishing for photos
"Sure! You wanna see Logan and Cerise?"
"Absolutely,"
Scott sighed, deciding to butt in before these two got any further into their own little world
"And Lucy is just getting her nails clipped today right?"
"Hm? Yes, just the nails," Derek muttered back absent-mindedly as he set Lucy down on the table
"Hey uh... do you want to get a cup of coffee by any chance?" Stiles smiled shyly
"Sure, but later on alright? I need to make sure Lucy is ok when we get home, first nail clipping and all, I wouldn't want to take her home upset and then leave,"
"Oh ofcourse, I've gotta go home and feed Logan and Cerise anyway,"
Scott sighed and picked up the dog so he could carry her into the back room for her nail clipping, and to this day he doesn't know if it was irony, or just his boss somehow overhearing all of this and deciding to mess with them
But as he walked, he heard "Puppy Love" starting to play on the radio...

Take It Off (Derek Hale x Reader)
You jumped when the security box for the loft started buzzing loudly, dropping your book in surprise. You got up and walked over to it, standing with your hand hovering over the button as you tried to decide what to do.
The large door slid open and there stood Derek, bloody and sweaty and exhausted, and you slammed your hand down on the button and sprinted over to him.
"Are you okay? What happened? Who did this?" You asked frantically, your hands fluttering uselessly in the air as you tried to figure out where to put them.
"I'm fine." Derek sighed, waving you away.
"You are not fine." You cried, grabbing his elbow, which seemed to be the

Please, Just Don't Hurt Her (part 2)
"Please, just don't hurt her." Liam begged. "I'll tell you what you want to know, just promise you won't hurt her."
"Deal." The man nodded. "Now tell me everything about Scott McCall and his pack."
There was a crash outside the door and the man spun around, guns in his hands before Liam could blink. The other two men pulled out weapons of their own, stalking over to the door. It swung open with a crack, and Braeden walked in, guns blazing. There was growling and snarling and blood and screams as Scott Malia and Kira jumped into the fray.
Liam breathed a sigh of relief. They were here. Oh thank god.
"Hey babywolf." Stiles ran forward, a ba
