Blood So Sweet
Fourth Bite: From The Past To The Future
My breaths were heavy as I ran through the garden, stepping over and on top of flowers without a care, I had to make it... this time... I had to make it this time... I hopped up and maneged to cling to the edge of the wall, my nuckles turning wite and my fingers straining to keep a hold of the cement, I swung my legs quickly and maneged to hook my feet onto the bricks of the wall, and with that, I started to climb, pulling myself further and further up until I made it to the top, maneging to pull my butt up and swing my legs up so that I was now sitting on top, staring at the ground below me and the prison that they called a school, I took in a deep breath and turned my body so that I was facing the other side of the wall... licking my lips, I looked down, I must have been atleast twenty feet up ... and with the closing of my eyes I jumped down, my legs absorbing the impact and a hiss of pain coming from my mouth as wave after wave of pressure filled me up, I groaned, it felt like one of the bones in my leg had cracked... but I tried to ignore it and started running, I had nothing, absolutely nothing except the night gown and the slippers I was wearing, I continued to run, my breath coming out in large puffs against the cold air around me, I didn't no were I was going or how I was going to get there... but at least it wouldn't be here... and that was good enough... after probbably thirty minutes of running my legs started to feel weak, having been strained by the climb and the landing as well, it didn't surprise me much, I started to slow down and I could feel my heart and lungs burning as they pumped oxegyn through my body, and I collapsed of exhaustian on the forest floor, my breath quick, trying to pull in as much air as I could, I couldn't keep going like this... if I took too long of a break someone would be searching for me soon and they'd find me... I heard footsteps and turned my head, but saw nothing, I turned again, and saw a man's shoes, "Are you alright?" the owner of the shoes bent down and came face to face with me, he had the msot stunning orange hair and brown eyes... "... I'm tired.." I muttered back, "Do you want me to help you get away from here? You're escaping from the school aren't you?" I nodded slowly and he slid his arms under my body, picking me up bridal style and starting to carry me through the woods, it was against my personal beleifs to trust some... some... stranger... especially in a weakened state, but I was so tired I could barely move, and at the time I thought anything would be worth getting away from there, "Who are you?" I asked, "Who are you?" he parroted, "I'm Rukia Kuchiki," he smiled, "I thought so," I tilted my head, "Why-" "You were adopted weren't you?" my heart paused, how did he no that...? "How-" "My name is Ichigo Kurosaki," he said suddenly and I shut my mouth, "Your sister, Hisana, was an... employee of mine... she died recently but her husband, Byakuya, would very much like to meet you, see we only just found out about you wen your sister did a little research and discovered your existence," I nodded slowly, all I had been told by my adoptive parents was that my real parents were dead.. but it made sense that I had a sister, it was why they had kept my maiden name of Kuchiki I guessed... they just didn't tell me that, "I wanted to meet you too," he said as we exited the forest and came to a car, parked near the exit of the woods, "Why?" I asked as he unlocked the car, "Because your sister was a very lovely person, and because the Kuchikis are in a sort of ... family buisness... and I was wondering if you'd like to be in with them," he said as he slid me into the front seat of the car and shut the door, I buckled my seat belt and looked over at him as he climbed in the driver's side, "Wat kind of buisness?" he smiled at me.. and it was then that I saw his fangs... "I'll explain it once we're at my hotel room, the place I'm staying at is only a few minutes from here," and that's wen it all started....

My eyes bugged open and I sat straight up in bed... the dream I was having was of the night that Ichigo and I first met... I was escaping from the boarding school that I had been sent to, unbenownst to me, Byakuya had just found my birth certificate in a box of my sister's things, and Ichigo was out looking for me, he had pressumed, correctly might I add, that my scent was simaler to Hisana's, shortly after that we went to a small diner around the corner and he explained things to me, ofcourse I didn't believe him at first, I thought he was nuts, it took him showing me his fangs a bit more  clearly and me having to touch them to convince me .. but I still didn't believe parts of his story until I, rather reluctantly, went with him back to the manor and met the rest of his family, my brother included, and I saw pictures of Hisana, that's wen I started beleiving him thoroughly... "Rukia," I jumped at hearing my name and turned around to see Ichigo sitting next to my bed putting a book down, "Y-Yeah?" I choked out, "Is everything alright?" I nodded slowly, "Yes... it was just a dream..." I muttered back, he got up and shifted so that he was sitting on the edge of the bed, "Rukia wat happened last night?" I blinked, "Last night...?" "Yeah, I came home and you were already in bed," I snorted, remembering the events of the night before, "You came home HOW late last night? Just because we're going to get married doesn't mean I'll wait up for you," "I came home after an hour and a half Rukia, it was barely past eight and it's not even KIND OF normal for you to be sleeping that early," I looked away from him, not wanting to make eye contact, "Well were were you!? The art store is just ten minutes away! How long could it have taken to find a jar of paint?!" I snapped, I had worried for him last night and now I was frustrated with the way I had been treated... I just wanted a reason to be left alone.... "Rukia, they were out of the color so I had to go to the store at the mall and that, amoung traffic... it took me a little wile," he replied, staring at me like I was nuts, I sighed lightly, "Sorry for snapping..." I muttered quietly, "It's alright, I should have called or something, so are you going to talk or wat?" I new he wasn't going to give up without a fight... he never did... "Have you ever met Ryuuken Ishida?" I asked quietly, "Yeah, he's Uryuu's dad and he's on the council too, why?" "Well.... he was here last night-" "Wat did he say to you?" his voice suddenly became very cold and stern, I had never heard him speak like that before, not to me anyway, "Ichigo-" "Wat did he say Rukia?" he growled at me, "H-He said... well... I didn't no who he was until Brother told me... he said 'and to think you will be the mother of the next Kurosaki heir', but I-" he stood up abruptly and I shut my mouth, I had never seen him so ANGRY before.... he smiled down at me for a moment, "Rukia, why don't you go take a long, hot bath and then later I'll take you to the zoo ok?" he said cheerfully, "I-Ichigo I-" "I'll be back in a little wile," he said, heading for the door, he nos how much I adore animals so going to the zoo is sort of a soft spot for me... "Will you be ok? With the sun I mean," I said, trying to avoid the issue at hand, "Oh I'll be fine, it's overcast today and I'll take tablets with me just in case," he assured me, "Don't you want anything to ea- er... drink? You haven't had anything since yesterday afternoon," "Before we leave," he replied, taking a moment to come and kiss my forehead before leaving the room... and leaving me to my thoughts, I sighed lightly, I new he was going to have something to say to Ryuuken Ishida... and I didn't want him to get carried away... but it wasn't my place at the time, at the time I was just his Blood Maiden... now wen I become his WIFE that will be a diffrent story.. but as a human, there isn't much I can do with the vampire aristocracy... or atleast.... not at that moment... little did I no at the time how drastically that would change... and how soon, I would have EVERYTHING to do with the vampire aristocracy.....
