"Ugh...." "I warned you," Ichigo said as they walked into the house, well, Ichigo walked, Rukia stumbeled... "Ugh...." she groaned again as he kicked the door shut with his foot and tried to help her walk up the stairs, "I feel like crap," she sqweaked out, sounding like a hamster, he finally swept her off of her feet and carried her up the stairs, "Well I WARNED you! How many times have I told you not to read in the car?" "You told me not to read on your motercycle..." "Well that too but I told you before I even went to the bookstore not to read in the car and what do you do? The minute your butt hits the seat you open that book, and now you've gotten car sick," "I'm not car sick.... I have a headache and my stomach is slightly upset.... it's a cold," "Then you'll take cold medicine," she went stiff in his arms, "Er...... I wouldn't say CARSICK, it's only when I read in a moving vheicle that I get sick...." she corrected, "Whatever! I warned you!" "Yeah but I waited a MONTH to read this chapter.... I couldn't wait anymore...." she muttered as they arrived upstairs, "Well now you're going to have to wait even longer since you've gotten sick," he replied, walking to his room, "Not really.... I can read and groan at the same time," "It'll make your headache worse," "I don't care.... I'll take medicine for it..." he sighed and shook his head, her and her books....

"Are you done reading already?" Ichigo asked as she set her book down, "Yes," she replied simply, "And let me guess... you still have a headache right?" he asked, she nodded slowly, "Yeah a little bit," she muttered from his desk chair, he frowned slightly, standing up and walking towards her, "Sorry to hear that," he replied in a near wisper, picking her up from the chair, "I'm sure this light is bothering you, why don't you close your eyes until your headache stops?" he suggested, walking back to the bed and laying down with her nesetled in his arms, "Mm... that sounds like a good idea..."

'How could I let this happen?' Ichigo wondered as he remained motionless, 'It's ok when we're sleeping but if she's going to hold me captive wile I'm awake ATLEAST I could be watching TV....' he thought with a sigh.... but the remote was on his desk.... far, far, from where Rukia was holding him prisoner in bed... she had fallen asleep on him and he currently had the use of only one arm.... which was on his opposite side and couldn't get to the remote if he tried..... and she was drooling ever so slightly.... slowly but surely making a nice, thin, wet spot on his shirt........ he could feel it start to leak onto his skin.....

Rukia yawned quietly and slowly sat up, "Hm? What happened?" she muttered, "You fell asleep," Ichigo replied, also sitting up and removing his shirt, "H-Hey what are you doing? P-Put your shirt back on!" she sqwealed out, "Mn nope, you drooled all over it so I have to take it off otherwise you can see right through it," he replied, rolling out of bed and slinging his shirt over his shoulder to take it to the laundry, "I bet that'll teach you to read and ride at the same time," he chuckled, "I'm gonna go take a shower now!" he called, "Great...." Rukia muttered, pulling the blankets up, it was an awfully cold day.... end of Febuarary and all...

"I. Am. FREEZING!" Rukia muttered with a shiver, "I know I know, I'm cold too," he muttered back, "Can't you turn the heat up?" she muttered, he sighed, "I COULD, but it COULD blow up the house," he muttered, "I told you Rukia the thermostat is busted, it doesn't go any higher up," "Well when is it getting fixed?" she muttered back, "Tommorrow with any luck," he muttered back, watching her stand in the middle of his room shivering with chattering teeth, "If you're that cold come over here and warm up," Ichigo suggested, tossing back the blankets to his bed as he finished putting away the book he was reading, "But.... I don't want to sleep, it's still fairly early in the evening, it's just freezing is all..." she mused, "I already finished my new book too," Ichigo thought about that for a moment, "Have you ever played Go Fish?" he asked, she shook her head and he smirked, "Come here, I'll teach you," he offered, taking a pack of cards from his desk drawer and getting in bed, she walked forward and sat down on the edge of the bed, he rolled his eyes, wrapping his arms around her and dragging her into his chest, pulling the blankets over her and settling her down, she watched as he took out the deck of cards and shuffled them, "Is this game like poker?" "No," "Is it a drinking game?" "No," "Is it a gambling game," "NO," "Is it a stripping game?" "NO!" she frowned, "Then..... what is it?" he sighed as he started to deal the cards, "It's a card game Rukia, a card game," "Obviously, but what's the catch? Drinking? Stripping? Gambling?" "None of that, it's JUST a card game, no wagers," she blinked, "I've never played a game like that before..." she mused, he frowned, "Well you haven't stripped or drank either have you?" "I've never stripped, I don't play those games I just hear about them, I did play a drinking game once with Kaien Sir and some other people in my squad though, I had three shots and blacked out," he slowly shook his head and put the rest of the deck between them, "I've gambeled before though, I used to do it all the time as a kid, Renji and I would play games like skipping rocks and we'd bet candy on it, I've only gambeled with money once though I've used things like food and bets before," he sighed silently, he really, REALLY wondered about her past sometimes....

"Alright hand over your threes," Ichigo said with a smirk, Rukia frowned, "And just how do you know I even HAVE any threes?" she asked with a frown, "Because if you didn't have threes you wouldn't have asked that now hand 'em over," she huffed and handed him two cards, he smirked, "Alright, how about some sevens?" she stuck her tounge out at him, "Go fish~!" he rolled his eyes and picked up a card from the deck, "I'm going to win this time~" she sang happily, "Uh-huh, you think," he chuckled back, she frowned, "Oh yeah? Then hand over all your dolphins!" he sighed lightly, "Rukia I told you, if you're going to play cards call it by the NUMBER not the PICTURE," he muttered, "But I PREFER the pictures," she muttered, he rolled his eyes and handed her three cards, "Excellent! Now give me your otters!" he frowned and handed her another card, "And now I will take your wolves thank you," "I don't HAVE any wolves," he chuckled, she frowned but drew a card from the deck and suppressed a smirk, "Alright.... do you have any fours?" "Dream on," she snickered as he drew a card from the deck, "Now give me your ferrets and no one get hurts!" he sighed and handed her the three three cards she had given him earlier, "You know you're awfully competitive..." he mused

The pair only played for another hour before getting sick of it and deciding to watch TV; some documentery on King Arthur, Rukia had, as a result of the fairly late time and being comfortable in the warm bed and even more so in Ichigo's warm, strong arms, had fallen asleep, now Ichigo was stuck.... he found the documentry over and the remote and lamp both on Rukia's side, so he was going to have to attempt getting out of bed or climbing over her.... slowly, he lifted her from his arms and set her back on the mattress, inching out of the blankets and balencing on one knee to get over her, he flicked out the lamp, grabbed the remote, turned off the TV.... and crashed back beside her, "What happened?" she muttered, likely still half-asleep, "Nothing, go back to sleep," he cooed, kissing her forehead lightly before wrapping her in his arms again and going, quite gladly, to sleep with her against him
