Act One: The Die Is Cast
"Detective Ishida, this came for you in the mail today Sir," Uryuu looked up from his papperwork as a manila packege was dropped on his desk, "Alright.... thanks..." he muttered back to his secirtairy as she walked out of the office, he was about to sweep the thing into a nearby drawer, get to it later, when he saw the word "URGENT" stamped on the front, he opened the envelope and dumped the contents onto his desk, gasping sharply as a pile of photos flooded his desk, slowly he picked up one of them, it was of a young singer who was making a name for herself after getting her first album platnumized, picking up another he saw an athlete who had competed for Japan in the summer olympics... he started sorting through the photos and found that they were all of celebrities, all except for a few... but what worried him wasn't that, it was that these photos were clearly taken by someone who was SPYING on these celebrities, they weren't just magazene clippings, they were up-close photos of the celebrities, and none of the people in the pictures were even acknowledging the camera.... he picked up a letter, wich was folded up in the middle of the photos, and unfolded it

Hello Detective, I want to play a little game with you, it's called 'save the celebrity', each and every one of these people has been choosen for a reason, none of them are who they appear, I've even made it easy on you and gathered them all in one place, but here's the catch, you have to hurry, you know how fame is these days, it's there one minute, the next it's DEAD, and all of these people will be just that within a matter of time, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, hurry up Detective, the longer you wait, the more Stars fall out of the sky, can you save them all? At the bottum of the letter was an address for a hotel in neighboring town Karakura, without hesitation Uryuu leapt from his desk and ran out of his office, "MICHIRU! Who gave you this envelope?!" he shouted, "N-N-No one Sir! It was on my desk this morning!" he growled, "S-Sir what's wrong?! What was in it?!" he grabbed the phone off of Michiru's desk and started dialing the number of the hotel that was written on the bottum of the letter, "Karakura Springs Hotel, how may I help you?" he heard, "This is Detective Uryuu Ishida, do you have any special events going on at your hotel in the next few days?" "Yes Sir, a movie will be starting shooting tommorrow," "Tommorrow? I'll be there tonight, I need to book a room," "Certainly Sir," "And... who exactly do you have booked for this film? It's urgent that you tell me," he wasn't one to keep up with celebrities, he was unfamiliar with many of the photos, "Um... certainly Sir...." she muttered back, "One name on the list is-"

"Good morning Rukia," the young woman smiled and sat down in the chair in front of her, "Good morning Shirayuki," she replied, "I have news for you, I've gotten you a movie deal," the older woman said with a smile, "...A movie deal?" Rukia asked with raised eyebrows, "Yes, it's a romantic comedy, shooting starts tommorrow," "Woah woah WOAH, this is all going a little fast don't you think?" "Rukia, you need to climb out of this 'child star' hole that you've dug, you are a serious actress and if that Lifetime movie you did last month is any proof you are GOOD at it, you need to start thinking about where you go from here," "I've BEEN thinking about it Shirayuki," "Rukia you can't be a starlit forever, you have to have an adult audience, now it was bad enough you were still doing kid stuff a few months ago, it's time to let go and move on," "Just drop my fans? Why don't you tell me to get a new career then!?" "Don't be upset, I'm not saying you can NEVER do any roles for kid films but you need to-" "Broaden my horizon?" "Yes," she sighed and leaned back, ".... What's the part?" "Leading role," "Audition time?" "No auditions, you were specially requested for this movie," "Rating?" "PG-13," "That's a little high don't you think?" "It's for a teenage audience Rukia, I understand you need to go slow but you have to make your first move SOME time," "My first move was the Lifetime movie..." "Wich went over AMAZINGLY well, I have calls POURING in," ".... How long will filming take?" "It's a relativly short movie with a simple plot, roughly a month, eighteen work hours per day, every day," "I can't just leave tommorrow for a MONTH I need a sitter for Kyoko-" "The hotel allows pets," "But I have an appearence to make on FetchWith Ruff Ruffman next week," "I rescheduled your cameo on the cartoon dog show," "What if someone calls about the house?" "They can reach you on your cell," "I can't pack and fly who knows where in a day," "Train to Karakura," "...Karakura huh? .... Well.... I could use some time in my home town...." she muttered, her agent smiled at her, "So do we have a deal?" ".....Yeah....." "Trust me Rukia, a year from now you'll be thanking me for pushing you," the girl sighed and stood up, "I hope you're right.... by the way, who's my co-star?"

"Ichigo," "Old Man Zangetsu," he said with a nod towards the older man, Zangetsu pushed a peice of papper and a pen towards Ichigo, "What's this?" "Your contract," "Contract for what..?" he replied in a mutter, "A movie," "Oh, cool, what're the details?" "It is a romantic comedy that starts filming tommorrow in Karakura," "Woah woah WOAH, tommorrow? Karakura? You expect me to fly from Tokyo to Karakura and start filming TOMMORROW?" "That's correct, I already have a flight booked," "And Percy? What about him?" "The hotel allows pets," "How long will I be gone?" "Roughly a month, the working hours are long each day, they won't hold you," "Uh-huh... and what about the auditioning?" "You were requested specially for this project," "Uh-huh.... and the movie I have scheduled to start shooting next week?" "They are postponning your scenes by my request, Ichigo, it is important that you snap out of the 'action movies' and do more genres or you will never make it as an actor," "..... Understood," he muttered back, sighing and standing up, "Oh well... I was supposed to visit Karin and Yuzu and the Old Man next week anyway, might as well just make it a stop on my list right?" Zangetsu nodded once, "I am glad you are taking this news well," "You've never steered my career wrong before, I trust you.... but Zangetsu..... you said I was requested so that probbably means that others in the movie are too... in that case... who are my co-stars?"

"Alright Abarai, take five," Renji looked up from his punching bag at the large-chested woman before him, "Zabi, wat's up?" he asked as he wiped the sweat from his brow, the purple-haired woman tossed an envelope at him and he opened it without hesitation, "What's this?" "What does it look like? It's a contract Stupid," "I can see THAT! I meant what is it FOR?!" "A movie," "A... movie? I'm not an actor, I'm an athlete," he replied, "Yeah, one who's starting to drop out of the media, ever since THAT happened you've been appearing less and less, now this is a BIG time movie and if you're in it for even a few scenes doing some stunts that'll get a few people looking," he sighed, "Great... I guess I could give it a shot, what's the part?" "Brother of the main charector, you'll be playing a professional martial artist," "Ah... that'll be easy," "Exactly, starts shooting tommorrow, ends in a month, go home and get your crap together so you can get to the hotel," "Tommorrow!?" "No, tonight so you'll be on TIME tommorrow, it's in Karakura, ain't too far from Osaka I guess, anyway, just get going," "And what about Pipsqueak?" "The hotel allows pets," he shrugged, "Alright then I guess, who else is in it?"

"Orihime you are GOLD! Well, I say gold, but actually you're PLATNUM," Orihime giggled lightly at her agent's enthusiasum, "Thanks Shuno," "Ofcourse! And do you know what I've set up for you?" the aurburn-haired musician shook her head once, "A MOVIE!" "A movie?!" "Yep! Starts filming tommorrow in Karakura," "Sounds fantastic! Is the rest of the band coming?" "Yeah, you'll not only be acting in it as a minor role but you'll be providing a song for the soundtrack," her agent explained, "That's so cool! Oh... wait... but what about Princess?" "The hotel allows pets," "When do we leave?" "Tonight," "Tonight? Isn't that a little soon...?" "Sorry but I just got the e-mail request this morning," she replied with a shrug, "Anyway Orihime it's in Karakura! Your home town!" Orihime nodded happily, "Sounds great to me!" she said with a giggle

And thus the die was cast...
